I run a real business. Solo. With seven AI agents handling the parts I used to do.
That stack lives somewhere, on a desk, in an office, with coffee, with notebooks, with the boring real-life infrastructure nobody Instagrams. Below is the actual list of what’s earning its keep right now. Some are workspace tools. Some are stationery. One is a tumbler I refill three times a day.
None of this is sponsored. I bought all of it. I link the Amazon pages so you can grab the same versions at the same prices I did.
Not sure where your money's leaking? Take the free 5-question scorecard and I'll show you the first system to plug it.

1. The Desk That Stands
ErGear Electric Standing Desk Frame
The single most important thing I bought for my office last year. I write blogs, ship code briefs to my agents, and run client calls from this desk. After three months on a regular desk my back was a wreck. Standing desk fixed it inside two weeks. The memory presets mean I can hit “stand” without thinking about it. Pair it with any flat top you already have.
2. The Laptop Stand That Actually Holds Up
CoStySee Leather Vertical Laptop Stand
When I’m not at the standing desk I’m in a coffee shop, a client’s office, or somewhere in between. This stand holds my laptop closed and out of the way when I need the desk for a notebook, a phone, or another monitor. Leather wrap holds up, three years in, still looks new. Twenty-four bucks.
3. The Annual Planner I Actually Open
Blue Sky 2026-2027 Academic Planner
I run my schedule digitally, Google Calendar, Notion, the agents, but I think on paper. Every Monday I sit with this planner, lay out the week, and write the actual goals. Academic year (July to June) matches how my business actually plans. Wirebound, lays flat, room to write whole sentences not just to-do bullets.
4. The Pocket Notebooks I Refuse to Run Out Of
HOMEMARS A6 Leather Pocket Notebook (3-pack)
These live in my bag, my truck, and my desk drawer. A6 is the size I actually carry without thinking, pocket-sized, leather cover, ruled inside. The 3-pack runs me through about four months. Every coaching call, every audit, every brain dump that needs paper instead of a screen happens here.
5. The Travelers Notebook Inserts for Bigger Work
Wanderings Travelers Notebook Inserts
When the pocket A6 isn’t enough, when I’m sketching a framework, mapping a client’s profit leaks, or planning a launch, I pull out a passport-size travelers cover and slot one of these blank inserts in. Blank, no rules, no margins. Drawing room for the kind of thinking that won’t fit on a lined page.
6. The Pen I’d Defend in a Meeting
Pilot G2 Premium Gel Pens
Ride or die. I have tried every gel pen on the market in the name of fancy stationery. They all let me down eventually. The Pilot G2 in 0.5mm extra fine is the one I keep coming back to, clean line, no smear, doesn’t quit halfway through a contract draft. Buy the box, distribute through every bag and drawer.
7. The Tea Mug With the Infuser Built In
AmorArc Porcelain Tea Mug with Infuser
Built-in infuser, lid that doubles as a coaster, 18oz so I’m not refilling every 20 minutes. I drink loose-leaf tea between calls, it slows me down enough to actually think before I respond, which has saved my pricing more times than I want to admit.
8. The Tea That Goes In It
Traditional Medicinals Stress Ease Focus
I’m not a wellness influencer. I’m not selling you a magic potion. I’m telling you that on the days I drink this between morning briefs and afternoon client calls, my afternoons are notably less ragged. Lemon balm, lavender, oatstraw. Drinks like tea, not medicine.
9. The Tumbler I Refill Three Times a Day
Stanley Quencher H2.0 Tumbler 20oz
Yes, the viral one. Yes, it earns the hype. The handle and straw are why it works for me, I drink water through the morning while typing instead of stopping to pick up a glass. Three refills a day. Cold water from sunrise to dinner. The boring upgrade your hydration needs more than another supplement.

What This Setup Is Actually About
The tools aren’t the answer. They never are. But the right tools take 10% of the friction out of every day, and 10% over 250 working days a year is a lot of saved hours.
Same logic as the AI agent stack I run for the rest of the business: small leverage, applied consistently, compounds. Whether it’s an agent that drafts a first blog or a chair that doesn’t wreck your back, they’re all the same play.
If you’re trying to run more business than your hours can hold, the answer is leverage, not effort. The desk, the planner, the AI agent stack, same shape, different surfaces.
If you want help finding the leverage in your business, not the gear, the actual workflows where AI and systems can take the work off your plate, that’s what I do.
